Screening System
Location: HCS Pharma
HCS Pharma creates innovative 3D cellular models which enable researchers to perform phenotypic screening on more relevant 3D cellular assays that also consider the extracellular matrix (ECM).
Today, HCS Pharma can perform high quality 3D cell assays in a high-throughput manner. With the implementation of their HAPIx platform, they now have a very powerful and fast tool that they can offer to customers from the pharmaceutical industry to perform high-throughput phenotypic screens on 3D cell models. This is in addition to the low/medium throughput assays that they already offered to the pharmaceutical, dermo-cosmetic and nutraceutical industries.

Cell Biology Platform
Location: Kroemer Lab, Gustave Roussy Cancer Center
The Cell Biology platform within the Kroemer Lab is used as a hub to conduct screening approaches as it offers fully automated cell biology workflows that allow for the phenotypic screening of large-scale compound and siRNA libraries.
To enable this cutting-edge research, the group needed a high-content analysis system that they could fully integrate into an automated platform which also includes compound management and automated cell culture.

Mechano-medicine discovery screening
Location: Forcyte Biotechnologies
Forcyte Biotechnologies has integrated our imaging solutions with automated components to create a ssystem capable of screening 30,000 cell-drug combinations per day.
Forcyte Biotechnologies, Inc. is a drug discovery startup performing phenotypic screening of contractile cell force as a HTS assay endpoint. The company manufactures and utilizes unique microplates with soft-film bottoms embedded with fluorescent micropatterns to which thousands of cells simultaneously adhere and then contract (or squeeze). Optical measurements of micropattern contraction in the presence of drug provides functional data on whether a drug modulates cellular force generation, enabling discovery of novel mechano-modulating medicine (mechano-medicine).
